Rediscovered
I'm thinking of letting my cat write this post. She's laying all over the keyboard, randomly hitting keys anyway. She seems to have more energy than I do right now. I had forgotten what it felt like to spend all day at work being creative, only to have to come home and be creative. I'm just about out of "creative" for the night. Things are starting to pick up a little in my world.
So I found this photo among many others in a folder on my desktop marked "to work on." I had been putting it off for a while, only to rediscover it tonight. This was from a shoot I did of a wedding out in a wheat field. It was such an amazing day. Light was just right, colors turned out great, and boy, was it hot! After the shoot, on the way home, we stopped on the side of the road and ran out into a wheat field. Katie is always terribly photogenic anyway, but I really loved how this one came out. Soft, pensive, and beautiful. Its funny how some of the unplanned shots come out so much better than the ones you agonize over. I think that is a little how life works. Some of the random, unplanned days are the best.
I'm so glad that I can actually 'see' this picture of Kat now. Last night, when I read your post, I had been staring at screens all day, and all I could see were lines and couldn't focus on the picture. Now that my eyes are focused again, it's a very beautiful picture of her. Was that post process or did you just over expose in the beginning?
ReplyDeleteIt was the post. The lighting was not my favorite in the actual photo. The over exposure and gradient softened it.
